Abstract: We synthesized a thermosensitive hydrogel-catalyst, which change a conformation in response to external stimuli. We regard the hydrogel-catalyst as a model of an enzyme that recognizes a substrate and catalyzes a reaction selectively within the specific temperature range. We have reported that we could control the catalytic activity by using a thermosensitive hydrogel-catalyst possessing an imidazole group in an esterolysis of an active ester. And also we have prepared the functional hydrogel that recognized their substrate by using a coordinate bond of Cu(II) with pyridine-units. In this study, we attempt to introduce both of specificities (selectivity and responsibility) to a hydrogel-catalyst.
