Abstract: Molecular imprinting technology(MIP) is a new kind of polymer synthetic technology emerging in recent years.Molecular imprinting polymer(MIP) prepared by MIP has highly specific recognition ability because of recognition sites within the polymer matrix that are complementary to the analyte in the shape and positioning of functional groups, therefore they can be used as recognition element in chemical sensor. It can provide an alternative to often unstable biosensors for industry, medicine and environmental analysis. Preparation process of MIP and it's recognizing mechanism as a recognition element in sensor and the application of MIP sensor were expounds. Its present disadvantage and future prospect were also discussed.
