Abstract: This review is devoted to the method of molecular imprinting, i.e., the technique of obtaining molecular imprints. The physicochemical grounds and the mechanism of covalent and non-covalent molecular imprinting concerned with the synthesis of molecular imprinted organic polymers are considered. The attention is focused on obtaining molecular imprints on mineral supports. The mechanisms of molecular recognition and adsorption are discussed.
