Abstract: A novel molecularly imprinted polymers for amino acid derivatives were designed and synthesized, in which the recognition sites could be reconstituted after destruction of the sites. The reconstituted recognition site possesses a zinc porphyrin as a coordination site and a methacrylic acid group as a hydrogen-bonding site. The reconstituted polymers could recognize the enantiomers, while the binding sites that were not reconstituted showed no affinity and enantioselectivity. Therefore, the binding sites in the polymer matrix could be reconstituted properly
