Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymers with a catalytic activity for transformation from atrazine to atraton were prepared by using novel designed templates, in which an atrazine was combined with polymerizable group using disulfide bound. After polymerization, the binding/catalytic sites in the polymers were constructed by the reduction of disulfide bond, followed by the oxidation of thiol group as post-imprinting process. The polymers showed the selective binding for the triazine herbicides, and the catalytic activities were evaluated in the framework of Michaelis-Menten kinetics
