Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) was synthesized with salicylic acid as the template, 2-vinypyidine as the functional monomer in methanol-water system and evaluated by high performance liquid chromatography. Salicylic acid and its isomer (4-hydroxybenzoic acid) were separated well with the prepared polymer as a stationary phase. Influences of concentration of water in the mobile phase on separation were studied, and the results showed that hydrophobic interaction was the major interaction force in molecular recognition
Template and target information: salicylic acid, 2-hydroxybenzoic acid
Author keywords: high performance liquid chromatography, molecularly imprinted polymer, salicylic acid
