Abstract: Uniformly sized molecularly imprinted polymeric microspheres(MIPMs) were prepared by single-step swelling polymerization using 2,4-dichloro-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline(DCQAL) as template molecules.Static adsorption was employed to study the effects of the functional monomers, triethylamine and water on binding characteristics of the MIPMs for DCQAL,and the recognition properties were also investigated by the same way.MIPMs adsorbed and recognised template molecule mainly by hydrogen bond action. The recognition and binding properties of the MIPMs prepared by methacrylic acid were good due to its strong hydrogen bond with the template, the apparent maximum numbers of binding sites with high affinity and low affinity being 17.53 μmol/g and 117.02 μmol/g respectively. The separation factor was up to 1.78 when 4-chloro-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline(CQAL) was chosen as the competitive molecule.Using triethylamine or a small quantity of water as additive in adsorption solution could obviously decreased the binding properties of MIPMs.
