Abstract: This chapter presents some strategies for sample preparation when biomolecules were determined/characterized. In this sense is was divided into three different topics: 5) Biomolecules Separation/Extraction, 2) Biomolecules Determination/Characterization and 3) Trends, with emphasis to molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) and Lab-on-chip technology. The principles of those common techniques/strategies used for attain biomolecules separation characterizations are discussed as well as some representative examples of each topic are presented.
