Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymer for atrazine was prepared in chloroform solvent, using atrazine as tern late molecule and methacrylic acid (MAA) as functional monomer. The interaction between atrazine and functional monomer was verified by ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy. The structure of polymers was analyzed by infrared spectra. The results indicated that hydrogen bonding was formed indeed between template molecule and functional monomer. The morphology of polymers, prepared in different amount of solvent, was observed by transmission electron microscopy. And the equilibrium bind experiments which were combined with the transmission electron microscopy was used to testify the influence of different amount of solvent. It showed that the amount of solvent had obvious influence on the adsorption properties and morphology of polymers. It was also found that the max binding capacity was up to 42.6 μmol/g. In addition, the results of specific absorption experiments showed that molecularly imprinted polymer had a good recogntion characteristic to atrazine
