Abstract: In this study, the specific imprinted polymers were synthesized by the precipitation polymerization and the bulk polymerization methods by utilizing oridonin as a template molecule, methyl acrylic acid(MAA)as a functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethyl acrylate(EDMA)as the cross-linkers.The polymers were characterized by laser particle size scanning and scanning electron microscopy. The binding performance of the imprinted polymers was evaluated using equilibrium experiments. The results showed that the imprinted polymer prepared by using the precipitation polymerization method possessed better specific adsorbed capacity and molecular recognition ability in contrast with the conventional bulk polymers, and the specific adsorption value toward template reached 31.5 μmol/g.
Template and target information: oridonin
Author keywords: Oridonin, molecularly imprinted polymer, precipitation polymerization, molecular recognition
