Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) microspheres were prepared via precipitation polymerization with sulfamethazine as template. Equilibrium adsorption experiment was used to discuss the binding performance and the results reveal high bingding affinity and selectivity to sulfamethazine. Scatchard analysis showed that the MIPs have one class of binding sites is observed for the imprinted microspheres binding to the template with the maximum apparent binding constant 31.866 μmol/g respectively.
Template and target information: sulfamethazine
Author keywords: molecular imprinting polymer, precipitation polymerization, sulfamethazine
