Abstract: Mycotoxin has extremely strong toxicity as a secondary metabolite of fungi which can pollute crops, plants and their by-products, threatening human health seriously. In order to monitor and control the contamination of mycotoxin, rapid detection methods have become a focused research in recent years. In this paper, several applications of thin layer chromatography (TLC), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), gold immuno-chromatographic assay (GICA), bio-immunosensors, protein microarrays and molecular imprinting technique (MIT) in the analysis of mycotoxin have been reviewed. Moreover, problems and prospects of MIT were discussed for the rapid detection of mycotoxin.
