Abstract: The preparation of nanoporous copolymers of poly(N-methacryl-N-cyclohexylamide-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate), poly(MA-CHA-co-EDMA), by thermal degradation of poly (N-methacryl-N,N'-dicyclohexylurea-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate), poly(MA-DCU-co-EDMA) were studied. MA-DCU was copolymerized with EDMA to a high conversion under the formation crosslinked copolymers. In the thermogravimetric analysis, copolymers decomposed by a two-step mechanism under the separation of almost quantitative yield of c6H11NCO at temperature of 250ŚC. After removal of cyclohexylisocyanate from the crosslinked copolymers, recognition groups-CO-NHC6H11 remain as reactive sites in nanoporous copolymers
