Abstract: We have successfully synthesized molecularly imprinted cyclodextrin (CyD) polymer and coated on the silica-gel surface for the stationary phase of HPLC. With this polymer, dipeptides and amino acid derivatives were selectively recognized in water. In the present paper, a new vinyl monomer involving cationic moiety (see Scheme 1) was synthesized and applied to the imprinting with ?-CyD monomer for still more effective recognition. When these two functional monomers were simultaneously imprinted to Z-L-Tyr, capacity factor for Z-L-Tyr significantly increased. As expected, the polymer imprinted to Z-D-Tyr selectively recognized Z-D-Tyr. On the contrary, imprinting effect was much smaller when each functional monomer was individually used for the imprinting
Template and target information: Z-L-Tyr, Z-D-Tyr
