Abstract: A post chemiluminescence (PCL) phenomenon was observed when perphenazine was injected into the reaction mixture after the finish of chemiluminescence ( CL) reaction of potassium permanganate with luminol. A perphenazine molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) was synthesized. Using the perphenazine MIP as the recognition material, a novel molecular imprinting-post chemiluminescence (MI-PCL) method for the determination of perphenazine was established. The linear range of the method were 1.0 X 10(-4) - 1.0 x 10(-2) g/L with a linear correlation coefficient of 0.9984. The detection limit was 3 x 10(-5) g/L and the relative standard deviation for 1.0 x 10(-3) g/L perphenazine solution was 4.3% (n = 11). The method has been applied to the determination of perphenazine in urine sample with satisfactory results
