Abstract: An imprinted photonic polymer constructed by colloidal crystal and molecular imprinting technologies shows specific and rapid recognition with high sensitivity to the protein template, as demonstrated by shifts in the photonic crystal stop band (see figure) when it is soaked in various concentrations of proteins.
