Abstract: Under the condition of weak acidity (pH 5.5), molecularly imprinted films (MIF) on gold electrode were prepared by electropolymerization method for the determination of isoproturon. The imprinting effect, performance and the selective response to the structurally similar compounds of isoproturon were studied. Potassium ferricyanide was worked as the probe between the electrode and base solution, and a method for determining isoproturon was established. The sensor shows high selectivity and sensitivity towards the target isoproturon and it gives a linear correlation to isoproturon concentration over a range from 1.0 x 10(-7) to 4.0 x 10(-4) mol/L with a detection limit of 2.95 x 10(-8) mol/L. The sensor has been applied to the analysis of isoproturon in farmland water samples with recovery ranging from 99.0% to 102.0%
