Abstract: In this paper,two kinds of molecularly imprinted polymers(MIPs) were prepared with different functional monomers as methacrylic acid(MAA) and 4-vinylpyridine(4-VPy).The polymeric material was characterized by scanning electronic microscope and Scatchard analysis.The polymeric particles were packed into 6cm glass columns to be invested to absorb selectively Sudan I from red peppers.Under the extraction conditions,the high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) indicated the MISPE packed with 4-Vpy-MIP possessed excellent selectivity toward the template comparing the MAA-MIP.
