Abstract: A molecularly imprinted polymers(MIPs)was prepared by precipitation polymerization using 17-ethyl estradiol as the nominal template molecule, methacrylic acid as the functional monomer, trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate as the cross-linker.A molecular modeling approach was used to elucidate template-monomer interaction, and to optimize monomer. The morphous of MIPs was evaluated by transmission electron microscope(TEM).The particles were highly spherical.Data from static adsorption experiment indicated that the MIPs had high affinity and specific recognizablility to ethinylestradiol and its analogues.
Template and target information: 17-ethyl estradiol, ethinylestradiol
Author keywords: ethinylestradiol, precipitation polymerization, Molecularly imprinted polymers, molecular modeling
