Abstract: The molecularly imprinted polymeric microspheresins (MIPMs) were prepared successfully via a single-step swelling in aqueous system, using polystyrene (which was prepared by dispersion polymerization technique) as seeds, N-BOC-L-Trp as template molecule, acrylamide as a functional monomer, and ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate as a cross-linking agent. The results of adsorption text showed that the prepared MIPMs exhibited high adsorption and good specific selectivity for N-BOC-L-Trp. Baseline chiral separation of the template enantiomer was achieved quickly, when using the polymer as chromatogram stationary phase.
Template and target information: N-Boc-L-tryptophan, N-BOC-L-Trp
Author keywords: molecular imprinting technology, seed swelling, N-Boc-L-Trp
