Abstract: Molecular imprinting polymers (MIPs) against Cbz-L-Ser, Cbz-L-Ala and Cbz-L-Pro utilizing acrylamide plus 2-vinylpyridine as combined basic functional monomers were prepared and evaluated in high-performance liquid chromatography mode. Less rigid molecules, Cbz-L-Ser and Cbz- L-Ala, which have suitable chemical functional groups to interact with the functional monomers were successfully imprinted and the MIPs shaved excellent chiral separation ability to the imprinted enantiomer. It was found that not the rigidity but the suitable chemical functional groups of the imprinted molecule to interact with the functional monomers was a key problem to realize molecular imprinting
Template and target information: Cbz-L-Ser, Cbz-L-Ala, Cbz-L-Pro
