Abstract: We prepared polymer gels with recognition sites for glucose oxidase (GOD) by the molecular imprinting technique. GOD-imprinting procedure is as follows: at first GOD was self-organized with acrylic acid in phosphate buffer solution, and the complex was copolymerized with N-isopropylacrylamide and crosslinking agents at 45°C. After the copolymerization, GOD was removed by washing the GOD-imprinted polymer gel with phosphate buffer solution at 5°C. The binding selectivity of GOD against that of G6PD to the GOD-imprinted gels at 45°C was 1.8 times higher than that at 5°C. It suggests that GOD-imprinted polymer gels can separate GOD from the protein mixture by temperature change.
