Abstract: Molecular imprinting technique(MIT) is an emerging chemical polymerization technique for the preparation of molecular imprinted polymers(MIPs) which possess selective recognition properties. The current state of the art in the use of MIPs as selective materials of the sensor of water quality detection are reviewed, and the trends of the MIT applied to the sensor field of water quality detection are also discussed. It is point out that the sensor based on MIPs has many excellences, such as quickness, accuracy, stabilization and repetition etc.It applys to detect the pesticide, herbicide, nerve agent and other macromolecule compounds in water. It is also an important approach to realize the quickly-in-site detection of water quality.
