Abstract: The molecularly imprinted polymeric microspheres(MIPMs) have been successfully prepared by a single-step swelling and polymerization in polar solvent using the polystyrene particles as seeds,and rhein as template molecule. The rhein-MIPMs were characterized with scanning electronic microscope.The synthetic conditions and the adsorption properties were also studied. It was found that the microspheres with concave-depression structure had large surface area and lots of binding sites,which effectively raised the combination rate and imprinted capacity.
