Abstract: Trimethylsilylation with hexamethyldisilazane was applied to a surface modification of silica(alumina) gel catalysts, on which surface the ''molecular footprint'' catalytic cavities had been marked by the authors' imprinting method. The modification provided for the more stable catalysts than the unmodified catalyst, retaining their molecular-recognition capabilities nearly intact
