Abstract: Copper ion imprinted acrylonitrile-co-styrene (Cu-I-AN-co-St) microspheres were prepared using Cu(II),acrylonitrile, styrene, azobisisobutyronitrile, divinylbenzene as template ions, a functional monomer,a framework monomer, an initiator, a crosslinking agent, respectively. The characterization of the Cu(II) imprinted polymer microsphere was carried out by UV, FTIR and SEM, and the static selective adsorption of Cu(II) on Cu-I-AN-co-St microspheres was analyzed by FAAS. When pH of the solution was 5-6 and adsorption time was 60 min at room temperature, the maximum adsorption capacity was 49 mg/g.1 mol / L hydrochloric acid solution was used as a desorbent, the desorption efficiency was up to 98%. Compared to the corresponding non-imprinted polymer, the adsorption amount and selectivity of Cu(II) on Cu(II) I-AN-co-St microspheres increased. The relative selectivity coefficients were 28.2,24.8,44.4 when Cu(II) coexisted with Zn(II), Ni(II), Cd(II) which have the same charge and similar ionic radius to Cu(II).
