Abstract: A sensitive molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensor of doxycycline hydrochloride based on gate controlled effect was prepared on the surface of gold electrode by electro polymerization with o-phenylenediamine as a functional monomers and doxycycline hydrochloride as a template molecule. The performance of molecular imprinted membrane and the imprinted effects were investigated, and the detection conditions were tested. The sensor exhibited good selectivity to doxycycline hydrochloride. A linear relationship between the current and the doxycycline hydrochloride concentration was found in the range of 2.0 x 10-9 ~ 1.0 x 10-7 mol/L, and the determination limit was 8.7 x 10-10 mol/L which is lower than that of most present methods. It has been applied to assay of real fish samples, and the recoveries of doxycycline hydrochloride from the samples ranged from 96.6% to 103.1%.
