Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) selective for the alpha(2)- adrenoreceptor antagonist yohimbine (1) have been prepared and studied as alpha(2)-adrenoreceptor mimics. Marked ligand stereoselectivity was demonstrated in radioligand binding and HPLC studies upon comparison to blank and corynanthine (2) MIPs. K-D values in the nanomolar range have been shown for anti-1 MIP prepared in chloroform solutions upon rebinding in organic media. Copyright (C) 1996 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd
