Abstract: In this study, a novel molecular imprinting membrane made of chitosan and methyl methacrylate (MMA) was fabricated with cellulase as template molecule and the thermal response to cellulase was characterized. The film was characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the permeation experiment. The results showed that the space structure of the film was as similar as the cellulase. Moreover, the membrane had advanced molecular imprinting capability to cellulase comparing to pepsin and pectinase at any temperature and the film had excellent ability to identify specific template molecule (cellulase) at the synthesis temperature compared to other temperatures
