Abstract: Remotely operated sensors for targeted molecules are important in bio-sensing and chemo-sensing applications. Using a fiber, molecularly imprinted polymers and a simple transducing mechanism, it may be possible to detect molecules using fiber optics. This paper presents how this could be achieved using a simple Fabry-Pérot type transducer attached to the cleaved side of an optical fiber
Author keywords: Chemo-sensor, fiber optic sensor, targeted molecules
