Abstract: Group-selective molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) that absorb sulfonamides (SAs) were prepared using a mixture of sulfamethazine and sulfamethoxazole as template molecular, 2-vinylpyridine as functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linker by bulk polymerization. The imprinting mechanism of double templates and recognized property of MIPs were evaluated by UV and equilibrium binding experiment respectively. The results indicated that multi-sites synergistic effect of mixed template-functional monomers optimized the cavities, which improve the group-selective adsorption of MIPs. Meanwhile molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction method using mixed templates MIPs as absorbents was developed and used for the quantitative analysis of SAs in sewage treatment plantwastewater. The recovery and limited of detection were 86.1% to 98.0% and 4.46 ~ 12.34 ng/L respectively, relative standard deviation of recovery was less than 6.5%. The method could meet the requirement of confirmation and multi-residual analysis of SAs in the environmental water sample.
