Abstract: Molecular imprinting technique is a process for preparing functional polymers which are capable of specifically recognizing targeted molecules with target molecules as templates. Because of the advantages of structural predetermination and specific recognition, molecularly imprinted polymers are widely used in the separation, purification and analysis of drugs in biological samples to eliminate the non-specific adsorption in the traditional sample preparation and determination. In this paper, the principle of molecular imprinting technique was introduced, and the latest progress of application in detection of quality and safety of aquatic products was described, mainly including its application in the pre-treatment and analysis of aquatic products. Compared with the traditional sample pretreatment technology, the pretreatment technology combined with molecular imprinting technique had better selectivity, repeatability, practicability and sensitivity. Finally, the shortcomings and future of application of molecular imprinting technology in detection of quality and safety of aquatic products were also discussed.
