Abstract: Lead ion-imprinted polymers that exhibit enhanced selectivity for Pb(II) ion have been synthesized. A lead ion-selective electrode based on the synthesized polymer has been prepared. The electrode exhibits a linear response to lead ion with a slope of 33 mV per decade which is close to the theoretical Nernstian slope. Selectivity coefficients of the electrode were determined by different methods and effects of the pH of the test solution and composition of the membrane were studied
