Abstract: A new Cu2+-imprinted polymer was prepared using 4-vinyl pyridine and acrylamide as bio-functionalmonomers, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the crosslinking agent. The structure and morphology of Cu2+-imprinted polymer and non-imprinted polymer were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM). The adsorptive, desorption properties and the selectivity recognition ability of Cu2+-imprinted polymer were investigated. The results indicated that the adsorption capacity reached equilibrium after 10 min at pH 6.0.Using 0.3mol/L HCl as desorption solvent, the desorption rate was more than 96.0% after 3min. The Cu2+-imprinted polymer had excellent adsorption and selective recognition properties compared with non-imprinted polymer. The maximum adsorption capacity of Cu2+-imprinted polymer was found to be 15.67mg/g, the enrichment factor could be up to 50 times.
