Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been prepared mostly for low-molecular-weight biomarkers and drugs but also for a spectrum of proteins. As compared with antibodies, MIPs have higher chemical and thermal stability, and they can be regenerated for repeated measurements. Electrochemical methods dominate the read-out of MIP sensors.
