Abstract: Molecularly imprinted nanoparticles (MIPs) synthesized via a solid-phase synthesis process are successfully deposited on the surface of a long period grating (LPG) optical fibre sensor for detection of fentanyl in a liquid solution. Real-time detection of fentanyl can be observed from the LPG sensor. The wavelength change of LPG sensor linearly fits the concentration of fentanyl with a sensitivity of 0.004 nm/ (ng/ml) and limit of detection of 3.75 ng/ml for concentrations up to 200 ng/ml
Template and target information: fentanyl
Author keywords: Effective refractive index, Fiber optic sensors, Long period gratings, Optical sensing, scanning electron microscopy, Single mode fibers
