Abstract: This study was performed for the electrochemical determination of phenylurea herbicides, metoxuron, by using molecularly imprinting technique. p-phenylenediamine is chosen as the suitable monomer for the metoxuron imprinting. The optimum polymerization conditions (film growth rate, medium pH, monomer/template molecule ratio, polymer film thickness) were identified and molecularly imprinted polymers were electrochemically synthesized on the disposable pencil graphite electrodes. The extracting/removing of the template molecule from the polymer matrix is performed by chronoamperometry technique. Limit of detection was to be found as 2.75 μg/mL. The selectivity of the electrode was tested towards propanyl, 3,4-dichloroaniline, Urea and Diuron, which's are the analogue molecules, and the electrodes exhibited very high selectivity in the presence of these analogues. The metoxuron imprinted electrode was tested with an agricultural product. Herbicide samples also achieved satisfactory results
