Nucleoside-selective polymers based on methacrylate copolymers.

Abstract: Polymeric sorbents selective to the components of nucleic acids are prepd. by polymg. ethylene glycol dimethacrylate in the presence of adenosine or deoxythymidine in DMF or THF. The effect of solvents on the structure and properties of the formed polymers was studied using nucleoside and water sorption as well as differential scanning microcalorimetry. The sequence of functional groups forming hydrogen bonds with the matrix mols. and oriented in the selective cavities of the sorbent play considerable role in selective sorption.
