Abstract: A thin film of polysiloxane was covalently immobilized onto an indium tin oxide (ITO) surface in the presence of analyte after the simultaneous co-adsorption of octadecyltrichlorosilane and analyte. This functionalized ITO electrode was used in the potentiometric chemosensor for selective determination of analyte. Washing the physically adsorbed templates away, potentiometric measurements showed selective detection of analytes. The viability of such a surface imprinted indium tin-oxide electrode in the presence of inorganic, organic and biological materials will be presented.
