Abstract: Macrocyclic ligands produced by modification of cyclodextrins with toluene-2,4-diisocyanate and N,Ar-methylenebisacrylamide in the presence and in the absence of templates were used as components of catalyst systems in the Wacker oxidation of unsaturated compounds. The following substrates were used as templates: dodecene-1, hexadecene-1, and p-tert-butylstyrene. The activity of catalyst systems containing β-cyclodextrins modified in the presence of templates was shown to be considerably higher than for the same systems containing a macroligand produced without a template.
