Abstract: Molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) was prepared by using methylacrylic (MAA) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate ( EGDMA) as funcional and cross-linking monomers, respectively. And its molecular recognition characteristics to EGCG were evaluated by batch adsorption experiments. The results showed that the partition coefficient of EGCG bound to MIP coluld be 140.3, which was higher than that of gallocatechin-gallate(GCG), epigallocatechin (EGC) and epicatechin gallate(ECG). And high resolution factor (alpha = 2.54) between EGCG and GCG was obtained in the experiments. The EGCG-imprinted polymer exhitited high selectiveity and good recognition ability to EGCG but the blank polymer (BP) didn't. On the base of this, the possibility to selectively extract EGCG from tea polyphenols (TP) was proved by using the MIP as solid-phase extraction material
