Abstract: We prepared a temperature-response polymer gel with recognition sites for glucose oxidase (GOD) by the molecular imprinting technique. The polymer gel was composed of N-isopropylacrylamide, acrylamide and crosslinking agents. To assess the GOD-selectivity of this polymer gel, a competitive adsorption of the template protein (GOD) versus a non-template protein [glucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenase (G6PD)] was assayed. The GOD selectivity fo the polymer gel was 1.8 times higher than that of G6PD. It suggests that the temperature-responsive polymer with protein recognition sites can separate the template protein from a protein mixture.
