Abstract: Syntheses of molecularly imprinted polymers against L-t-butoxycarbonyl-tryptophan or D-t-butoxycarbonyl-tryptophan using molecular imprinting technique were reported. This kind of polymers was systematically evaluated by liquid chromatography and frontal chromatography. The results suggested that the dissociation constant for the L-enantiomer,the imprinting molecule, was lower than that for the D-enantiomer(3.287 mmol/L and 4.379 mmol/L, respectively), which means that the affinity for the L-enantiomer is higher than that for the D-enantiomer,therefore the polymer has special affinity with the template. The physical and chemical character formulations of the molecularly imprinted polymer further indicated that it is a polymer with multihole structure which provides good diffusion channels for the solutes, and there are some functional groups in the molecularly imprinted polymer which can interact with the template.
