Abstract: In order to develop a simple and inexpensive detection method, we prepared a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) gel for recognizing a specific double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) target sequence in MIP gel electrophoresis. The detection of target dsDNA in this MIP-electrophoresis system was based on the decreasing of migration distance by the capture effect of imprinted cavities. We confirmed that the migration of a target dsDNA in the MIP gel was smaller than that in the polyacrylamide gel (non-imprinted polymer gel).
