Abstract: Imprinting membrane of poly(acrylonitrile-co-methylacylic acid) for uracil recognition was prepared using phase inversion method in supercritical CO 2. The porous structure of imprinting membrane was observed from the SEM picture of cross-section. The substrate absorption experiment was used to studied on the ability of recognition for uracil using the imprinting membrane. The substrate absorption experiment showed that the imprinting membrane had selectivity and recognition ability to uracil (5.6 μmol/g binding capacity) relative to dimethyluracil (0.83 μmol/g). The binding capacity of imprinting and non-imprinting membrane to dimethyluracil was measured as 0.56 μmol/g and 1.1 μmol/g. So it was efficient to form the recognition sites for uracil in the resultant membrane by using supercritical CO2 as nonsolvent
