Abstract: Molecular imprinting is a new and very effective separation technique due to its specific molecular recognition. In this study, molecularly imprinted chitosan was made for BSA as 'print' molecule, and polymer was prepared which could recognize BSA specially. The molecular imprinting polymer was observed by AFM and FT-IR. The results show that BSA can be adsorbed by chitosan obviously in the existence of imprinting molecular, but hemoglobin can not be adsorbed. This technique can be applied in separating and purifying protein
