Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymer microspheres were prepared by precipitation polymerization.Methacrylic acid was used as functional monomer and 1-phenyl-1-propanol was used as template. The effects of reaction conditions were studied, including the kind of solvent, polymerization temperature, the concentration of template and initiator, rotational speed and pre-polymerization time. The appropriate polymerization conditions were at 60 °C,with acetonitrile as solvent and at the concentrations of both template and initiator of 0.01 mol/L.The obtained molecularly imprinted polymer microspheres showed good specific recognition and higher affinity capacity in the rebinding experiments.
Template and target information: 1-phenol-1-propanol
Author keywords: molecular imprinting, precipitation polymerization, 1-phenyl-1-propanol, microspheres
