Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymer for pipemidic acid was prepared by a molecular imprinting technique. The molecularly imprinted polymer was investigated in equilibrium binding experiment to evaluate its adsorption property and selective recognition. Scatchard analysis showed that two classes of binding sites were formed in the imprinted polymer under the studied concentration. The imprinted polymer exhibited high selectivity and recognition ability for pipemidic acid. It was used as a solid phase extraction sorbent for the sample clean-up in the analysis of pipemidic acid from human serum. (Analytical Abstracts 2007)
