Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have already appeared as new selective sorbents for solid phase extraction (SPE) of organic compounds in different samples by extracting certain analytes selectively from complex matrices without matrix interference. This review aims to present a summary of the application of MIPs in the solid phase extraction and enrichment of analytes from the environmental samples. The target analytes include pesticides, herbicides : toxins : veterinary drugs, heavy metal ions, endocrine disruptor compounds and other environmental hazards.
