Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymers(MIPs) of levofloxacin (LVFX) with recognition properties by thermal polymerization method were prepared using levofloxacin as templates, methyacrylic acid as functional monomers and ethylene dimethacrylate as crosslinker under the optimized conditions. The binding experiments of MIPs to LVFX were used to evaluate the influences of various factors on LVFX binding. The optimizing conditions were that(n(LVFX)):n(MAA):n(EDMA)=1:4:15,polymerization temperature was 60 °C, polymerization time was 48 hours and solvent was chloroform, the volume of chloroform was 10 mL.The experimental results indicated that the MIPs had higher LVFX binding caqacity than OFLXs and also higher than corresponding non-imprinted polymers,it was found that the highest separation factor (α) of the MIPs to LVFX/OFLX could reach to be 1.56.
